About the Event

This is an intimate, home-hosted gathering rooted in creativity, reciprocity, and presence. There's something quietly powerful about sitting at a table with others, slowing down and breaking bread together. This isn't just about eating with strangers, it's about learning who people are through what they choose to bring.


We invite you to make or purchase a dish that carries meaning for you. A childhood favorite. A beloved favorite or grandmother's recipe. Something you've been practicing for weeks and are finally proud to share. Your dish is a small window into your story, and every offering adds to the collective experience.


Our gatherings are intentionally structured to encourage real connection. Alongside sharing a meal, expect gentle seat swapping, playful prompts, and guided moments that help conversation move beyond small talk, without ever feeling forced.


Two weeks prior to the gathering, confirmed RSVP's will receive access to a shared spreadsheet to coordinate…

The Unplugged Collective

Unplugged began as a simple idea: put the phones away and come back to what matters. Conversation, shared meals, and real human presence. What started as small screen-free gatherings has grown into something much larger.

Now we're evolving into a living network, a nonprofit dedicated to mapping, amplifying, and supporting community builders, gardens, mutual aid groups, and creative projects already bringing people together. We're still unplugging, but now its about unplugging from isolation and disconnection, so we can reconnect with each other and the places we call home.

Every dollar we raise helps us continue this work of creating accessible gatherings, supporting neighborhood initiatives, and building the local map that will make the efforts visible and connected.
